LOTS of UPS & DOWNS

Now, for those who have been following my histrionics, you know there have been LOTS of UPS & DOWNS since I wrote the above on November 21. Part of what I wrote above was the dilaudid talking (aka heroin) and part was genuine excitement of coming through my third (and hopefully FINAL!) surgery successfully. The downs –right up through Thanksgiving Day– were amongst the lowest I have experienced in my life and that’s all I have to say about that. Leaving that in the past… today, I am in-residence at an “Acute Physical and Occupational Rehabilitation Facility.” It’s a trip. But, it’s where I need to be right now. For the next 6 weeks, I will be here, rehabbing and I believe…GETTING STRONG. I am warm (for the first time in months), cared for by a great team of nurses and therapists and…excited about life. While there is a lot of work to do and a long ways to go, I am confident that I have rounded the corner to the LIGHT SIDE. Thank you all again for your support, and stay tuned for the good stuff…See More
